His interests span economics, banking and finance, political economy, and mathematics. His approach is informed in part by the Austrian tradition in economics, particularly its attention to institutions, knowledge, and monetary order.

Current research

Bank liquidity and contingent funding capacity

Research on how bank liquidity differs from the conventional marketability of assets, and how collateral eligibility, encumbrance, haircuts, pre-positioning, and access to funding channels shape the liquidity a bank can obtain under stress.
